Turnip Patties

Ingredients:

  1. Rice flour- 1 cup
  2. Sliced turnip- 4 cups
  3. Mushrooms(shredded)- 2 cups
  4. Crisp bacon(shredded)- 5 slices
  5. Chopped parsley- 4 tbsp
  6. Cornstarch- 3 tbsp
  7. Beaten eggs- 4
  8. Scallions(fine chopped)- 5 stalks
  9. Salt and pepper
  10. Oil for frying
  11. Enough water for cook the turnip

Method:

  1. Add the turnip slices in a sauce pan and cover the turnip with water.
  2. Now cook the turnip on medium flame until the turnip become soft.
  3. Drain the extra water and blend the turnip slices, keep aside.
  4. Now take rice flour, minced turnip in a mixing bowl.
  5. Add mushroom, parsley,scallions, salt, pepper, bacon and mix well.
  6. Set this mixture in a pan and steam for an hour.
  7. Once it is cool cut into cubes.
  8. Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl.
  9. add corn starch and beat again for 30 seconds.
  10. Now heat the oil in a pan.
  11. Dip the cubes into the eggs and fry until light brown and crispy.
  12. Serve hot with soy sauce.
