Turnip Patties
Ingredients:
- Rice flour- 1 cup
- Sliced turnip- 4 cups
- Mushrooms(shredded)- 2 cups
- Crisp bacon(shredded)- 5 slices
- Chopped parsley- 4 tbsp
- Cornstarch- 3 tbsp
- Beaten eggs- 4
- Scallions(fine chopped)- 5 stalks
- Salt and pepper
- Oil for frying
- Enough water for cook the turnip
Method:
- Add the turnip slices in a sauce pan and cover the turnip with water.
- Now cook the turnip on medium flame until the turnip become soft.
- Drain the extra water and blend the turnip slices, keep aside.
- Now take rice flour, minced turnip in a mixing bowl.
- Add mushroom, parsley,scallions, salt, pepper, bacon and mix well.
- Set this mixture in a pan and steam for an hour.
- Once it is cool cut into cubes.
- Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl.
- add corn starch and beat again for 30 seconds.
- Now heat the oil in a pan.
- Dip the cubes into the eggs and fry until light brown and crispy.
- Serve hot with soy sauce.
