Red Chilli Sauce
Ingredients:
- Fresh red chillies- 100 gms
- Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
- Vinegar- 2 tbsp
- Red tomatoes- 200 gms
- Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
- Glacial acetic acid- 1 tsp
- Water- 3 cups
- Cloves- 2-3
- Salt- 1½ tsp
Method:
- Wash, seeded red chillies and grind them.
- Boil the tomatoes in 3 cups of water for6-7 minutes.
- Mash with spoon and strain the tomato pulp through a sieve.
- Mix tomato pulp with vinegar, mustard seeds, chilli powder, ground chillies, cloves and salt.
- Cook the mixture for 5 minutes or till thick, turn off the fire.
- Strain the pulp through muslin bag or cotton cloth.
- Add glacial acetic acid and transfer in bottle for 4-5 days.
