Singhare ki Burfi

Ingredients:

  1. Ches nut flour(singhare ka atta)- 1 cup
  2. Desi Ghee- 2 tbsp
  3. Water- 2 cups
  4. Sugar- 1 cup
  5. Khoya/mawa- 100 gms
  6. Green cardamom powder- 1 tsp
  7. Chopped almonds and cashew- 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a non stick pan and stir chestnut flour.
  2. Flame should be slow otherwise flour can change color to dark.
  3. When the flour become light brown, remove from heat.
  4. Now fry khoya in a pan until it become soft and remove fat.
  5. Add flour, chopped almonds-cashew and cardamom powder in khoya, mix well.
  6. In a sauce pan bring the water to boil, add sugar.
  7. When syrup stick to the edges, add the syrup to the flour.
  8. Put some melt ghee in a plate and spread evenly with fingers.
  9. Pour the flour mixture in this plate and leave it to set.
  10. After that cut into pieces with the help of sharp knife.
  11. Singhara burfi is ready to serve.
