Singhare Ka halwa (Waterchestnut Flour Glossary)
Ingredients:
- Singhare ka aata/chesnut flour- 1½ cup
- Ghee- 3 tbsp
- Sugar- 1 cup
- Water- 2½ cup
- Raisins- 1 tbsp
- Chopped almonds- 1 tbsp
Method:
- Soak raisins in little water.
- Melt ghee in a wok(karahi) and fry chestnut flour on slow flame.
- Fry flour until fragrance comes out and color change to light brown.
- Bring the water to boil in a sauce pan and add sugar.
- Stir until sugar dissolve and pour a spoon full of flour into the syrup.
- Stir constantly to avoid lumps and pour another spoon of flour.
- Add all the flour by this process and stir constantly till mix well.
- Garnish with almonds and raisins and serve hot.
