Shrimp Curry
Ingredients:
- Shrimps- 500 gms(medium)
- Chopped onion- 1
- Tomato puree- 2 tbsp
- Garlic-ginger paste- 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder- ½ tsp
- Cardamom- 1-2
- Cinnamon- 3-4 sticks
- Coconut milk- ¾ cup
- Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
- Vegetable oil- 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water- 1 ½ cup
- Curry powder- 2 tsp
- Lemon juice/amchur powder- 2 tsp
- Green coriander leaves
Method:
- First of all peel, deveine and marinate to shrimp in salt for 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a sauce pan and add mustard seeds, cardamom and cinnamon, fry for 1-2 minutes.
- Now add chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute again for 2 minutes.
- Add red chilli powder, curry powder, tomato puree, salt and coconut milk and fry until fragrance comes out.
- Pour water to make a thicken sauce like mixture and stir it, cook for 3-5 minutes.
- Now add shrimps and cook for 6-7 minutes and check shrimps are done.
- Add lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves.
- Shrimp curry is ready to serve with rice.
