Palak Paneer

Ingredients

  1. 4 tbsps- Mustard oil
  2. 250 gms- Spinach
  3. 150 gms- Paneer (cheese)
  4. 3- Onions
  5. 2- Garlic flakes
  6. 1 tbsp- Cumin seeds
  7. 1/2- Chilli Powder
  8. 1 pinch- Garam Masala
  9. Salt according to taste

Method

  1. Clean and wash spinach(palak), boil the spinach with 1 cup of water.
  2. After cooling the spinach make puree of the spinach leaves.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds.
  4. When cumin seeds start to spluttering then add 1 chopped onions.
  5. Fry until the onion change color to light brown.
  6. Then grind the remaining 2 onions and the garlic flakes.
  7. Add this paste into the pan, fry till the oil begins to separate.
  8. Add chilli powder, garam masala and salt.
  9. Let boil the gravy for few minutes.
  10. Cut the paneer to small cubes of desired size, fry in oil till the paneer turns to golden brown.
  11. Finally add this paneer to the spinach gravy, cook for 6-7 minutes.
  12. Serve hot with roties.
