Moong Dal
Ingredients
- 1 cup moong dal
- 1 tbsp ghee/butter
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- ½ cup onion (cut into small pieces)
- 2-3 flakes garlic
- 2-3 green chilies
- ½ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp kasoori methi (optional)
- salt – to taste
Method
- Cook moong dal with 4 cups of water, add salt, & turmeric
- Heat ghee in a pan, splutter the cumin seeds.
- Add onion, garlic and green chillies, fry till the onion becomes golden.
- Add chilli powder, coriander powder and kassori methi leaves.
- After Cooking for a minute, add the mashed moong dal.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve it with roties.
