Matar Kachori (Green Peas Kachori)
Ingredients:
- Wheat flour- 2 cups
- Green peas- 2 cups
- Carom seeds(ajwain)- ½ tsp
- Fine chopped green chillies- 2
- Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
- Chopped coriander- 2 tbsp
- Coriander powder- 1 tsp
- Garam masala- ½ tsp
- Ghee- 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil according to need
- Water to need
Method:
- Add flour, ajwain, salt and 2 tbsp ghee in a mixing bowl.
- Make a stiff dough with the help of water.
- Cover with a cotton cloth and keep aside.
- Boil the green peas in 2 cups of water until they become soft.
- Drain the water and mash them.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and splutter the cumin seeds.
- Add coriander powder, green chillies, Chopped coriander, salt and garam masala.
- Add mashed peas and mix well.
- Fry for 3-4 minutes and keep aside to cool.
- Make small balls of dough and flatten with palm.
- Fill the stuff in the center and seal the edges and roll in shape of kachori.
- Heat oil in a wok and fry the kachori till golden brown.
- Repeat the same process for all the dough.
- Serve hot kachori with curd or chutney.
