Lasagna

Ingredients:

  1. Minced beef- 500 gms
  2. Olive oil- 1 tbsp
  3. Chopped onion- 1
  4. Carrot(grated)- 1
  5. Garlic(minced)- 1 tsp
  6. Tomato puree- 3 tbsp
  7. Chopped tomatoes- 4
  8. Dried oregano- 1 tsp
  9. Milk- 4 cups
  10. Cheese(grated)- 450 gms
  11. Cheese sauce- 4 tbsp
  12. Lasagna sheets- 12

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry onion till golden.
  2. Add garlic and minced beef, saute again for few seconds.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes, carrots and tomato puree.
  4. Mix well and cook for 20 minutes on slow flame.
  5. Soak lasagna sheets in boiling water until they become soft.
  6. Remove from boiling water and shake noodles to remove the excess of water.
  7. For cheese sauce mix the cheese sauce and milk together and heat.
  8. When it start to boil, slow the flame and simmer until thick consistency.
  9. Cover a baking dish with lasagna sheets.
  10. Spoon half of the cheese sauce over the lasagna sheets.
  11. Now spoon a layer of meat sauce over the cheese sauce.
  12. Now cover the meat sauce layer with lasagna sheets.
  13. Place again a layer of meat sauce and pour all the cheese sauce over the meat sauce.
  14. Spread a thick layer of cheese over the sauce layer.
  15. Preheat the oven at 350ºF.
  16. Bake for 30 minutes and serve warm.
