Lasagna
Ingredients:
- Minced beef- 500 gms
- Olive oil- 1 tbsp
- Chopped onion- 1
- Carrot(grated)- 1
- Garlic(minced)- 1 tsp
- Tomato puree- 3 tbsp
- Chopped tomatoes- 4
- Dried oregano- 1 tsp
- Milk- 4 cups
- Cheese(grated)- 450 gms
- Cheese sauce- 4 tbsp
- Lasagna sheets- 12
Method:
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry onion till golden.
- Add garlic and minced beef, saute again for few seconds.
- Add chopped tomatoes, carrots and tomato puree.
- Mix well and cook for 20 minutes on slow flame.
- Soak lasagna sheets in boiling water until they become soft.
- Remove from boiling water and shake noodles to remove the excess of water.
- For cheese sauce mix the cheese sauce and milk together and heat.
- When it start to boil, slow the flame and simmer until thick consistency.
- Cover a baking dish with lasagna sheets.
- Spoon half of the cheese sauce over the lasagna sheets.
- Now spoon a layer of meat sauce over the cheese sauce.
- Now cover the meat sauce layer with lasagna sheets.
- Place again a layer of meat sauce and pour all the cheese sauce over the meat sauce.
- Spread a thick layer of cheese over the sauce layer.
- Preheat the oven at 350ºF.
- Bake for 30 minutes and serve warm.
