Lamb Curry
Ingredients:
- Boneless lamb- 500 gms
- Cooking oil/ghee- 3 tbsp
- Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
- Ginger- 1 tsp
- Garlic- 1 tsp
- Chopped onions- 4
- Green chillies(chopped)- 2
- Chopped tomatoes- 1 cup
- Coriander powder- 2 tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1 tsp
- Turmeric- ½ tsp
- Garam masala- 1 tsp
- Beaten yogurt- ½ cup
- Water- 2 cups or to need
- Salt to taste
- Chopped coriander leaves
Methods:
- First off all wash the meat, cut into small cubes.
- Blend 3 onions, ginger and garlic in blender to make a fine paste.
- Heat oil in a large sauce pan, add cumin seeds and green chillies.
- When the cumin seeds start spluttering add onion paste.
- Saute until the oil separates, then add chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric.
- Add salt, garam masala and tomatoes, saute until tomatoes become soft.
- After that add lamb pieces, coated with puree for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour beaten yogurt, mix well.
- After that add the water, cover the lid.
- Cook the meat for 30-35 minutes or till the gravy thickened.
- Garnish with chopped coriander, serve hot with naan or rice.
