Khuskhus Aloo

Ingredients:

  1. Desi ghee- 3 tbsp
  2. Potatoes- 450 gms
  3. Chopped green chillies- 2-3
  4. Turmeric- 1 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder- ½ tsp
  6. Roasted khuskhus(poppy seeds)- 3 tbsp
  7. Water- 3 cups
  8. Sendha namak to taste

Method:

  1. Peeled the potatoes and cut into fine cubes.
  2. Grind khuskhus with the help of little water to make a smooth paste.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan, fry green chillies, add potato cubes and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add khuskhus paste, fry again for 2 minutes.
  5. Now add turmeric, salt and chilli powder, mix well.
  6. Pour the water and cover the lid, cook for 10 minutes on slow flame.
  7. When the potatoes become soft and whole water is drain, turn off the heat.
