Kadai Paneer

Kadai Paneer

Ingredients:

  1. 500 gms cheese cubes
  2. 2 tbsp ghee or butter
  3. 1 onion, chopped
  4. 1 cup tomato puree
  5. 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  6. 1/2 tsp roasted & pounded coriander seeds
  7. 1/2 tsp black pepper
  8. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  9. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. salt according to your taste
  11. 1 small green, yellow & red capsicums, chopped
  12. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  13. 1/4 tsp green cardamom powder
  14. A pinch of each clove powder, black cumin powder & fenugreek seeds
  15. 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Method:

  1. Heat ghee or butter in a pan.
  2. Add chopped onions and fry quickly until brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste, move slightly for a few seconds.
  4. Then add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, stir-fry until they change color.
  5. Then add tomato puree, paneer cubes, capsicum and salt.
  6. Then fry until the paneer change in to light brown color.
  7. Finally add the cumin, cardamom, clove, black cumin powders, fenugreek seeds.
  8. Cook paneer on slow flame till the paneer is well cooked.
  9. Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve hot.
