Fried Rice
Ingredients:
- Basmati rice- 1 cup
- Chopped onion- 1
- Black peppercorn- 4-5
- Bay leaves- 3
- Cinnamon stick- 2(half inch)
- Roasted peanuts- 1 tbsp
- Water- 2½ cups
- Ghee- 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes in water.
- Drain the water, pressure cook the rice in 2 cups of water and salt.
- Cook the rice until the whole water dissolve.
- Now melt butter in a sauce pan.
- Fry bay leaves, peppercorns and cinnamon for a minute.
- Add chopped onion and green chillies.
- When the onion change color to light brown, add cooked rice.
- Fry for 4-5 minutes, spread peanuts over the rice.
- Serve fried rice hot.
