Fried Rice

Ingredients:

  1. Basmati rice- 1 cup
  2. Chopped onion- 1
  3. Black peppercorn- 4-5
  4. Bay leaves- 3
  5. Cinnamon stick- 2(half inch)
  6. Roasted peanuts- 1 tbsp
  7. Water- 2½ cups
  8. Ghee- 2 tbsp
  9. Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes in water.
  2. Drain the water, pressure cook the rice in 2 cups of water and salt.
  3. Cook the rice until the whole water dissolve.
  4. Now melt butter in a sauce pan.
  5. Fry bay leaves, peppercorns and cinnamon for a minute.
  6. Add chopped onion and green chillies.
  7. When the onion change color to light brown, add cooked rice.
  8. Fry for 4-5 minutes, spread peanuts over the rice.
  9. Serve fried rice hot.
