Curd Rice
Ingredients:
- Rice – 1½ cup
- Cooking oil- 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
- Grated ginger- 1 tsp
- milk- 3 tbsp
- Bay leaves- 2
- Green chillies- 2-3
- Urad dal- 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Coconut powder- 2 tbsp
- Yogurt- 3 cups
Method:
- Pressure cook the rice with 3 cups of water for two whistle.
- Heat the oil and splutter the mustard seeds and urad dal.
- Add green chillies, and ginger saute for a minute and turn off the gas.
- Add this mixture into cooked rice and sprinkle coconut powder and salt.
- Mix well and add yogurt just before serve.
