Curd Rice

Ingredients:

  1. Rice – 1½ cup
  2. Cooking oil- 2 tbsp
  3. Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  4. Grated ginger- 1 tsp
  5. milk- 3 tbsp
  6. Bay leaves- 2
  7. Green chillies- 2-3
  8. Urad dal- 1 tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Coconut powder- 2 tbsp
  11. Yogurt- 3 cups

Method:

  1. Pressure cook the rice with 3 cups of water for two whistle.
  2. Heat the oil and splutter the mustard seeds and urad dal.
  3. Add green chillies, and ginger saute for a minute and turn off the gas.
  4. Add this mixture into cooked rice and sprinkle coconut powder and salt.
  5. Mix well and add yogurt just before serve.
