Crispy Okra
Ingredients:
- Fresh okra- 250 gms
- Plain flour- ½ cup
- Tapioca flour- ¼ cup
- Baking powder- ½ tsp
- Water- ¼ cup
- Salt- ¼ tsp or to taste
- Oil for frying
Method:
- Wash okra well, leave them to dry.
- Take plain flour, tapioca flour, baking powder and water in a mixing bowl.
- You can use rice flour instead of tapioca flour in same quantity.
- Add salt, mix well to make a smooth batter.
- Dip the okras in this batter and coat each okra with batter.
- Now heat oil in a wok, deep fry the coated okra.
- Fry 5-6 of okra at a time, fry them until light brown and crispy.
- Repeat the same process to the rest of okra, drain the extra oil.
- Serve immediately with chilli fish sauce or soy sauce.
