Coconut Burfi (Nariyal Ki Burfi)
Ingredients:
- Finely grated coconut/nariyal- 150 gms
- Cardamom seeds- ½ tsp
- Ghee- 1 tsp
- Sugar- 1½ cup
- Milk- 2 tbsp
- Water- 2 cups
- Khoya/mawa- 150 gms
Method:
- Heat ghee in a sauce pan, add grated coconut and fry on slow flame.
- After a minute add khoya and cardamom seeds and fry for 5-6 minutes.
- Now boil the water in a large sauce pan and add sugar.
- Saute the syrup till the sugar dissolve.
- Add milk and boil the syrup for two minutes.
- Now add coconut mixture and saute until the mixture becomes thick.
- Spread the coconut mixture on greased plate and cut into desire shape.
- Coconut burfi is ready to serve.
