Coconut Burfi (Nariyal Ki Burfi)

Ingredients:

  1. Finely grated coconut/nariyal- 150 gms
  2. Cardamom seeds- ½ tsp
  3. Ghee- 1 tsp
  4. Sugar- 1½ cup
  5. Milk- 2 tbsp
  6. Water- 2 cups
  7. Khoya/mawa- 150 gms

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a sauce pan, add grated coconut and fry on slow flame.
  2. After a minute add khoya and cardamom seeds and fry for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Now boil the water in a large sauce pan and add sugar.
  4. Saute the syrup till the sugar dissolve.
  5. Add milk and boil the syrup for two minutes.
  6. Now add coconut mixture and saute until the mixture becomes thick.
  7. Spread the coconut mixture on greased plate and cut into desire shape.
  8. Coconut burfi is ready to serve.
