Brown Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

  1. All purpose flour- 2 cups
  2. Unsalted soft butter- 150 gms
  3. Light brown sugar- 1 cup
  4. Baking powder- 1 tsp
  5. Cinnamon powder- ½ tsp
  6. Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
  7. Eggs- 2
  8. Salt- a pinch
  9. Fine chopped cashew

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven at 350°F.
  2. Whisk butter and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add eggs and beat again and add vanilla essence.
  4. Add cinnamon powder, salt and baking powder.
  5. Add flour and make a smooth dough.
  6. Add chopped cashew now and mix well.
  7. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 4-5 hour.
  8. After that make small(1 inch) balls(1 inch) of the dough and arrange on a baking tray.
  9. Bake the cookies for 10 minutes or until the cookies are brown and crispy.
  10. Shift in a air tight container for long use.
