Baked Alaska

Ingredients:

  1. Sponge cake- 1(large)
  2. White sugar- ½ cup
  3. Ice cream- 750 ml
  4. Eggs(white part)- 3
  5. Vanilla essence- 7-8 drops

Method:

  1. Preheat oven at 350ºC.
  2. Beat the eggs(only white part) in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add sugar and vanilla essence and beat again till stiff.
  4. Take a 2 inches thick board and cover with waxed paper.
  5. Transfer the sponge cake over the board and put the ice cream on the top.
  6. Cover the ice cream with meringue(egg mixture)completely.
  7. Shift the board into the oven and bake until the meringue becomes brown.
  8. Serve immediately with caramel sauce.
