Baked Alaska
Ingredients:
- Sponge cake- 1(large)
- White sugar- ½ cup
- Ice cream- 750 ml
- Eggs(white part)- 3
- Vanilla essence- 7-8 drops
Method:
- Preheat oven at 350ºC.
- Beat the eggs(only white part) in a mixing bowl.
- Add sugar and vanilla essence and beat again till stiff.
- Take a 2 inches thick board and cover with waxed paper.
- Transfer the sponge cake over the board and put the ice cream on the top.
- Cover the ice cream with meringue(egg mixture)completely.
- Shift the board into the oven and bake until the meringue becomes brown.
- Serve immediately with caramel sauce.
