Badam Halwa (Almonds Halwa)
Ingredients:
- Almonds(badam)- 1½ cup
- Sugar- 1½ cup
- Saffron strands- 4-5
- Ghee- 3 tbsp
- Milk- 1 cup
- Fine chopped almond- 1 tbsp
Method:
- Soak almonds in hot Water for an hour.
- Peel the skin of almonds and grind with ½ cup of milk.
- Heat ghee in a sauce pan and fry the almonds paste until light brown.
- Dissolve saffron strands into the remaining milk.
- Pour this milk into the pan and stir constantly.
- Add sugar and fry until it is thick.
- Turn off the flame and garnish with chopped almonds.
- Serve hot or cold.
