Badam Halwa (Almonds Halwa)

Ingredients:

  1. Almonds(badam)- 1½ cup
  2. Sugar- 1½ cup
  3. Saffron strands- 4-5
  4. Ghee- 3 tbsp
  5. Milk- 1 cup
  6. Fine chopped almond- 1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Soak almonds in hot Water for an hour.
  2. Peel the skin of almonds and grind with ½ cup of milk.
  3. Heat ghee in a sauce pan and fry the almonds paste until light brown.
  4. Dissolve saffron strands into the remaining milk.
  5. Pour this milk into the pan and stir constantly.
  6. Add sugar and fry until it is thick.
  7. Turn off the flame and garnish with chopped almonds.
  8. Serve hot or cold.
